Scott Hanselman is on a mission to raise $50,000 and then some for the American Diabetes Association to help fund the search for a cure. If you donate here between Wednesday May 9th at Noon PST through Friday, May 11 at Noon PST, contributions will be matched by seven bloggers. Here’s the donation page.
I don’t know Scott personally, but I’ve listened to his Hanselminutes podcast many times and I’m a subscriber of his blog. He’s a great code/dev resource and seems like a really, really good guy. That’s why I wasn’t suprised when I heard he was doing this. And for some of us, this hits close to home. Good guy + good cause = no brainer.
We’re posting this today to ask people to either donate whatever you can, and also spread the word - post a message on your blog, email some friends, drop a message on a forum, etc. Someone already“Dugg” the story over at Digg. Maybe you can go “digg” it up…let’s see if we can get it on the front page and grab some more eyeballs!
Note: I completely stole the title from Haacked.
