The Webby’s are around the corner, and I know the nominees have already been announced, but after watching yesterday’s Wallstrip episode I’m giving my web citizen’s nomination for funniest vidcast of the year to Wallstrip.
A few months ago Juxtaviews featured an interview with Howard Lindzon, founder of Wallstrip. Yesterday Wallstrip published on of the funniest vidcasts I’ve ever seen online. Watch it below or visit Wallstrip. The short video is filled with non-stop hilarious one-liners. Forget about the topic of the episode Salesforce.com, the concept behind it is a spoof of Alec Baldwin’s classic speech in Glengarry Glen Ross. If you’ve never seen GGR then I suggest you watch it now or at least watch the Alec Baldwin speech. It’s probably my favorite play of all time.
Anyway, back to the Wallstrip post. Whoever wrote that deserves an award and the actor playing the roll Baldwin played in the movie might as get one as well because he’s money. Wallstrip’s tagline is “where stock culture meets pop culture” and this episode is probably as close as you can get to fulfilling that promise. Great job Wallstrip.
